Diagnostic checklist for hepatorenal syndrome-AKI.
Required inputs
- Cirrhosis with ascites
- AKI by KDIGO criteria
- ≥2 days of 1 g/kg/day albumin (max 100 g/d) with diuretic withdrawal — no response
- No shock
- No current/recent nephrotoxic drugs
- No structural kidney disease (proteinuria <500 mg/d, no haematuria, normal renal US)
